For fans in Australia, unfortunately, they’ll have to wait until January 14, 2024 to watch season 2. This is due to the streaming services that carry The Gilded Age being geo-restricted, meaning they’ll only work in certain countries. But Paramount+, which is available in Australia, announced it would exclusively stream the show in January.

Where To Watch Season 2 of The Gilded Age

In the US, The Gilded Age season 2 is available on HBO and Max (HBO’s streaming service). HBO channels are also available as add-ons to other streaming services you may already own. These include Amazon Prime, Hulu, and YouTube TV.

While HBO isn’t available in the UK, viewers can add HBO to an existing Sky Atlantic subscription or a NOW TV pass.

HBO and Max aren’t available in Canada, either. Instead, Canadian fans of The Gilded Age can watch season 2 via Crave.

Where to watch in every country:

UK:HBO via Sky or NOW TV
Australia:Paramount+ (streaming January 14, 2024)

Depending on where you live, you may be able to watch some of The Gilded Age for free. Subscription services will sometimes offer free trials of add-on channels, including HBO and Max.

These trials are only for a short time, however, usually a week. You could wait until all of season 2 is out and sign up for a free trial. At the very least, you could watch some episodes for free before your service charges you for the channel.

How To Watch The Gilded Age Season 2 For Free

The best way to season 2 for free is by signing up for a free trial of HBO Max. Though there is no free trial via Max, subscribers of Hulu and Amazon can add Max to their existing subscription for a 7-day free trial. Be aware once your 7 days are up, you will automatically be charged for the next month (rates vary).

The Gilded Age Season 1 Ending Explained

The end of season 1 of The Gilded Age threw the Brooks household in disarray. Marian Brooks’ fiancé, Tom Raikes, abandoned her for another woman higher in society.

Additionally, Peggy Scott learned that her son might still be alive, and she began to look for him. And Both Gladys Russell and her mother, Bertha, finally had a sort of “coming out” in society.

Will There Be A Season 3 Of The Gilded Age?

There is no official confirmation of a season 3 of The Gilded Age yet. The head of drama at HBO, Francesca Orsi, said that the show’s renewal is dependent on “viewership relative to budget” at the moment.

In short, the number of viewers has to match the expense of making the show, or HBO could drop it. If season 3 is confirmed, there’s a chance it could premiere by winter of 2024 or 2025.
